Book 2 News

It has been two months since I have made a blog post here. I am afraid that I had been terribly busy during that period, from going back to work, to completing the second book, and to working on marketing and advertising. However, I can now give some significant news regarding how my work has gone.

The second book for The Drifters’ Road is, as of this writing, in the editing stage.

This means that I am finished writing it, or at least with fixing any story related problems that remained, and now editors are going through it to find any grammar errors and things of that sort. The process of editing will take about a month, give or take. While that is taking place, my attention turns to illustrations, the book cover, and other things needed in putting the book together. Or in other words, now I am worrying more about the publication process for the second book rather than the writing.

Right now I had best not give too much information regarding the second book, as things are still being finalized. I will say though that the second book will be roughly 15-20% longer than The Fleeing Company, which was 326 pages and around 93,000 words. Also, while there were 2 illustrations in The Fleeing Company, the second book will have more than that. Finally, the second book will have 21 chapters in total, as opposed to 17 for The Fleeing Company.

There is still much to do though to reach the release date. While I do have an idea for a title, I am not entirely set on it yet, and so I will withhold such information for now. A synopsis too must still must be written. But a significant step has been taken towards the second book’s eventual publication.

That is about all that I will say for right now regarding the second book, but I will give some updates on the progress here and there, as well as what specifically I am doing regarding it.

Take care until the next posting.
